Why It Matters
Charge Overnight, Drive All Day
The standard 120V outlet that comes with your home (Level 1) adds only 3–5 miles of range per hour. That's fine for plugin hybrids, but not for a full EV with a 250-mile range.
A Level 2 charger runs on 240V and adds 20–30 miles of range per hour — meaning a full charge overnight, every night, without thinking about it.
- Up to 10x faster than a standard wall outlet
- Dedicated 240V / 50-amp circuit for safe, efficient charging
- Hardwired or plug-in installation options available
- May qualify for federal tax credits and utility rebates

What's Included
Our EV Charger Services
01
Dedicated Circuit Installation
We run a new 240V/50-amp dedicated circuit from your panel to your garage or parking area — the foundation of any Level 2 install.
02
Charger Mounting & Wiring
Hardwired or plug-in installation of your charger, mounted securely with clean, code-compliant wiring.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does EV charger installation cost in DFW?
Most home EV charger installations in DFW range from $400 to $1,200 depending on the distance from your panel, whether a panel upgrade is needed, and the charger itself. We provide a written quote before any work begins.
Do I need to supply my own charger, or can KSI provide one?
Either works. We can install a charger you've already purchased, or we can recommend and source a charger that fits your vehicle and budget. We're brand-agnostic — we just want the right charger for your situation.
Do I need a permit for a Level 2 EV charger installation?
Yes, a dedicated 240V circuit requires a permit in most DFW cities. We handle all permits and schedule the required city inspection as part of our standard process.
Will I need a panel upgrade to install a Level 2 charger?
Not always. Many homes already have enough panel capacity. We check this during your free assessment. If an upgrade is needed, we'll let you know the cost upfront before proceeding.
Are there any rebates or tax credits available?
Yes. The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit may cover up to 30% of installation costs. Some Texas utilities also offer rebates. We can provide documentation to support your rebate application.

They upgraded our electrical panel in one day. The electrician explained everything, kept the garage spotless, and even helped us understand which breakers controlled what. Incredible service.
